Big Banana
On this trip, campers can admire the peaks of the Great Dividing Range, as they explore some of the region’s most photogenic and delicious stops. Day 1: Sydney Apollo Branch to Govetts Leap

Distance: 115km

Travel time: 2 hours

An ideal first night destination to take a break from driving and capture the sunrise right outside your door, Govetts Leap lookout showcases spectacular views of the Blue Mountains.

 

Day 2: Govetts Leap to Coffs Harbour

Distance: 615km

Travel time: 6 hours 30 minutes

Head north to Coffs Harbour for a stay at the BIG 4 Holiday Park. Here, enjoy the neighbouring main beach and coastal creek reserve, the resort-style pool or head out for a daily dose of surfing, diving, SUP boarding, kayaking or fishing. Nearby, grab a photo at the Big Banana – Australia’s original and most iconic Big Thing, and visit the Big Banana Fun Park featuring the largest Giant Slide in the country.

 

Day 3: Coffs Harbour to Sawtell

Distance: 13km

Travel time: 15 minutes

Just 15 minutes’ drive from Coffs Harbour lies the seaside sanctuary of Sawtell. Located almost centrally between Brisbane and Sydney, campers can enjoy sporting and water activities or explore First Avenue’s shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Alternatively, grab some fish and chips and head to the Sawtell Lookout.

Day 4: Sawtell to Blackmans Point

Distance: 140km

Travel time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Next, grab a bucket and head south to Ricardoes Tomatoes & Strawberries to pick some plump tomatoes and strawberries. After, enjoy a meal or brewed Devonshire Teas with farmhouse scones and cakes at Café Red.

Day 5: Blackmans Point to Sydney

Distance: 393km

Travel time: 4 hours

Head back to Sydney today for an easy drop off at the Sydney Apollo Branch
