Apollo Motorhome Holidays has won its 5th Q400 award for Top Tourism & Hospitality Company at the Queensland Business Review´s Q400 Awards 2011. The awards were held in Brisbane, Australia on November 25th and there to accept was Apollo CEO Luke Trouchet - “Winning this award points to the amazing efforts of our team,” Mr Trouchet said. With the fleet being expanded in 2012 to include 3 brand new vehicle types and upgrades to the current fleet, the Apollo team are looking forward to a very exciting year ahead. Apollo recently donated a Motorhome rental voucher to the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland´s "Springtime Ladies Luncheon". The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. Apollo’s day out At North Star Holiday Park Last Friday the Apollo marketing team headed to the BIG 4 North Star Holiday Park in NSW for a photo shoot for our Euro Deluxe 6berth and the Apollo Hitop Camper. As with photo-shoots weather is always a concern and thunderstorms were predicted! Luckily the weather cleared and it was a great day for the shoot. We got some great shots of our family models with the vehicles and there was great feedback from onlookers and campers who were able to see the vehicles. We loved meeting the people at the park and had a great time – definitely made us want to head away on a camper trip rather that head back to the office! Ben will paddle, pedal and kayak as he retraces the 1600km route taken by English adventurer and seafarer Captain James Cook. As he does, his parents Margaret and Duncan Southall will follow his epic voyage – not by sea but by road - to showcase the amazing range of holiday experiences on offer as part of a Queensland touring trip. The Southall’s this week left behind their home in the United Kingdom and yesterday (Thursday May 12) set off from our Brisbane branch in the direction of Noosa and Hervey Bay in their Apollo Euro Tourer. This is a four-month epic adventure, ending in Cooktown mid- September.

Apollo Motorhomes is proud to announce the opening of its Denver branch in Colorado, USA. This is Apollo’s 4th USA branch with 20 more branches located in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. The location is just minutes away from Denver International Airport, with nearby hotels, restaurants, and shopping. Its central US location means that Apollo now has significant coverage of the Western portion of the country. This opens up many additional popular destinations and one-way options for Apollo customers, including several National Parks and Monuments (Yellowstone National Park, Grand Tetons National Park, Colorado Rocky Mountains and Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills). The Denver branch has only recently been built and has immaculate facilities. The branch capabilities include automotive maintenance and repair, body shop (panel beaters), and trained motorhome repair technicians. The Apollo Christchurch branch is still open for business and we are operating to our normal trading hours. The areas and towns outside of Christchurch are also open as usual for holiday traffic. At the branch, we are still dealing with intermittent power restrictions; however, at all times, we do have systems in place to support any power outages. Our consultants are doing a fantastic job and we thank our customers for being so understanding of the situation. The team in Christchurch have really appreciated this. Due to local authorities’ advice we are unable to access water so the vehicles can not be washed on the outside however they´ll still be cleaned on the inside. There are various routes into and out of Christchurch open for motorists however access to the city’s CBD is still closed to the public. The Christchurch airport and the branch which is near the airport are both open for business. Clients affected or concerned by the earthquake are still best to contact our free call number 0800 113 131 and select Reservations for assistance. Our continued support and thoughts go out to the many lives that have been affected by this earthquake.

The 2011 New Zealand Rugby World Cup has sparked such strong demand for accommodation and transport that Apollo is ramping up campervan and motorhome production by 25% from our Auckland factory. Apollo CEO Luke Trouchet said “we’ve had so many requests for campervan rental during the world cup that our factory is in overdrive. We’re even shipping extra vehicles from Australia to boost our fleet numbers.”
