Why is Calypso Star Charters located in Port Lincoln?
Our tours are conducted at the Neptune Islands in South Australia. Our base at Port Lincoln puts us just a 2.5 hour journey from the Islands which enables us to conduct the one day tours and provides the perfect base for our activities.
What is the inside tip for a great experience with Calypso Star Charters?
Generally the winter months provide a higher average number of sharks per day, and more likelihood of sighting the larger female sharks. However the last two years have proven that sharks are sighted consistently all year round and no month is better or worse for shark attraction than any other. Due to the nomadic habits of the sharks themselves we cannot pin point an exact time, as it will vary from year to year.
Are there other great tourist activities in the area?
We recommend swimming with southern bluefin tuna with Swim with the Tuna.
